![]() Rimworld has a steep, front-loaded learning curve. If this doesn't appeal to you then you can adjust the difficulty to basebuilder or peaceful and enjoy building a colony, growing, making progress, etc. Without adversity there is no story, and the game is intended to be a "story generator". The challenge is in handling these events to minimize or prevent these negatives. You're intended to lose crops, have colonists injure/die, receive damage to your equipment, etc. Nah better make them die out of exhaustion. Dogs (and pretty much any meat-eating animal) will eat corpses when they are hungry in rimworld as well and can hear your breathingCan't hear me when I hold my breath, Although I wonder if it can hear my heartbeat.īut if you are dead for a long time and he is locked in the house with you, he will eat you and be happy when someone opens the front door. Won't hurt themīecause your dog can smell that you aren't really dead. Barely any impact on your colonist's work, and you can always place sleeping spots outside for a day. Even a room with only 2 tiles inside will suffice. And? You put it to prisoner, patch the prisoner up while your other colonists prepare a small prison room. There is only one room in the tutorial and putting a prison bed in it will turn off the beds for your regular characters, there is a message to that effect in game. The tutorial never says to build a prison firstThe tutorial also can't predict if the raider will be killed or downed to unconscious state. The other colonists should have shot him from the sandbags, it wasn't far awayWell, if you pay attention and see the guy who was attacked by a raider is getting a bully beatdown (pay attention to injuries) and your colonists can't hit the enemy and there is only one then you could come off with a better outcome by meleeing him, as he will try and attack multiple targets. I planted farms, but the characters are so lazy that they refuse to harvest the farmOnce again, bad priorities setup + they get overworked with other jobs to do These are people crash landed in wilderness of alien world, they have no time for full 8 hours sleep. ![]() But if you are dead for a long time and he is locked in the house with you, he will eat you and be happy when someone opens the front door. He makes a big deal for you to make sure you didn't have stroke to get you to move around. A casual player has no idea about the prison feature. The tutorial never says to build a prison first, setting the tutorial user up for failure. One had like 10 in shooting with a rifle(totally opposite from the scenario you suggested). The other colonists should have shot him from the sandbags, it wasn't far away. I planted farms, but the characters are so lazy that they refuse to harvest the farm and constant heatwaves hit. ![]() Origineel geplaatst door Smelly Fish:You said you are in a temperate climate. Tell me, why my dog does freak out instead of chewing off my ears and arms whenever I act dead?Ĭharacters refuse to do what commanded and must sleep all the time.Bad priorities, colonists have to sleep during the night like we do, you know? In reality the dog would eat the owner's corpse and be happy as ever afterward.A dog eating his owners corpse? I bet this would only happen when the owner was totally ignoring the dog everytime and not building any relations. Then his dog goes crazy because his owner died. Then you have to build a separate prison building for the unconscious attacker and it takes soo long to build this that he dies and disappears. That's why you prepare and build it first, and when you don't have time just place a ♥♥♥♥ sleeping spot in a room and change it temporarily to a prison. Perhaps one of your colonist had 10 melee 3 shooting and you gave him a bolt rifle anyways? ![]() Why didn't you rush with all your colonists after seeing one of yours get caught in melee? It would be more effective than trying to shoot him with low skilled shooters. In the tutorial only a single raider attacks you. Don't use an excuse "because he had less sleep than the others". One of the characters gets clubbed to death because he needed more sleep then the other two who were defending by the sand bagsOnly when the pawn has 0% of rest he will crumble down and sleep on the ground. You can't solely base off of hunting (well, you can, but meat spoils fast and in the winter during a cold snap or a toxic fallout animals leave the map) ![]()
